Our annual Glow-in-the-Dark Capture the Flag is upon us! The event runs from 7-9pm outside of Evergreen Hall on Friday, September 12th. Here are the general rules of which all participants must adhere to.
RULES
Do not throw the flag (however, you may hand off the flag to a teammate)
If the flag hits the ground, it’s dead and returns to its original spot in its safe zone
If you step out of bounds, it’s the same as being tagged and you go to jail
If you are tagged you go to jail
Jailbreak: if one of your team members steps into the jail, all players on your team are set for free. Everyone in jail, and the jailbreaker MUST return back to their side before they resume play, the flag cannot be handled by any of them until after they resume play.
No guarding the jail or the flag within 20 feet, if you’re caught by a referee, guarding the jail or flag within 20 feet three times, you’re sent to jail.
The flag must be fully visible while you are carrying it, no hiding underneath of clothes or behind backs while running.
Your team-defining glow sticks must be visible, no hiding underneath of clothes. If someone asks you what team you are on, you must answer truthfully.
Marked Areas
Jails should be a 10 x 10 boundary marked by glow sticks, additionally Mark a 10 x 10 area around the flag, this is a safe zone as well.
