Why Community?
We were made for it! Chi Alpha exists to be an authentic community, providing students a place to grow closer to God, meet friends, develop leadership skills, & make a difference. Although our name is Greek, we're not a fraternity or sorority. Chi (the Greek letter "X") & Alpha (the Greek letter "A") are initials that abbreviate a verse found in the bible:
"We are therefore Christ's Ambassadors. As though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf. Be reconciled to God" 1 Cor 5:20
Regardless of students' backgrounds, we invite all people to connect with our group and get plugged into our community either at our main Thursday meetings, or in our small groups.
NATIONAL CHI ALPHA MISSION STATEMENT
Our mission is to reconcile students to Christ, equipping them through Spirit-Filled communities of prayer, worship, fellowship, discipleship, and mission to transform the university, the marketplace and the world.
